Compliance & Government

The VetSnap GOV Compliance Statement, written for procurement teams, security reviewers, VA and veteran-service-organisation partners. VetSnap is a veteran-owned document toolkit: the tools run on your own device, so most of what an evaluator normally asks about simply does not apply.

Statement version 1.0 — 17 October 2026.

Data exfiltration

100% client-side document processing — files never leave the local device.

Every tool opens, converts, edits and saves the document inside your browser. There is no upload step, no document store, and no server-side copy. Your files stay on the machine you opened them on.

Worth knowing: One exception: the text-scanning (OCR) engine files are downloaded once before a scan, and the offline app may check for updates. The page images you scan are never sent anywhere.

Encryption

AES-256 encryption for PDF protection.

The Protect PDF tool locks documents with AES-256 (256-bit key), the strongest encryption standard available in the PDF format. The Unlock tool reverses it with the correct password.

Worth knowing: A locked file is only as strong as its password. VetSnap itself is not FIPS 140-3 validated, and does not issue digital certificates or certified e-signatures.

Accessibility

Designed to meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

The site is built for keyboard navigation and screen readers: real headings and landmarks, labelled controls, visible focus, plain-language error text, and layouts that reflow at high zoom and on phones.

Worth knowing: This is a design commitment, not a formal audit. No Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR/VPAT) has been issued. Ask us through the form and we will work with you on any barrier you find.

Architecture & security

No telemetry on document processing. Privacy-first design.

Nothing is logged about what is inside a document. No file names, file contents, page text or converted results are recorded, stored or transmitted by the tools.

Worth knowing: The site owner can see two anonymous counters: a page visit and which tool name ran successfully. No file name, no content, and no link between them and your document.

Air-gapped ready

Offline capability through the installable app.

VetSnap installs as a desktop or home-screen app. Once it has been opened while online and signed in once, the tools keep working with no network at all — suitable for restricted or disconnected machines.

Worth knowing: The first online launch caches the app. Signing in, payments and the contact form need internet. Text scanning (OCR) may need internet the first time it is used on a machine.

Government & VSO inquiries

Direct contact route for government, VA and enterprise deployment.

Procurement, VA, VSO, security-review and enterprise deployment questions go straight to the veteran-owned team behind VetSnap through the contact form — tell us your agency, timeline and what you need to verify.

Worth knowing: Contact details are not published; every enquiry arrives through the form below.

Federal procurement & SAM.gov readiness

NAICS codes
541511 Custom Computer Programming Services · 513210 Software Publishers · 541519 Other Computer Related Services.
Product Service Codes (PSC)
7A21 Applications · DA01 Application Software.
Safeguarding standard
Aligned with FAR 52.204-21 basic safeguarding of covered contractor information systems: document files are processed 100% client-side and never leave the host device, so VetSnap does not hold or transmit federal contract information.

What a SAM.gov registration does not mean: registering in SAM.gov identifies a business for federal contracting — it says who VetSnap is and that it can be paid. It is not an audit, an approval, or a certification that VetSnap is compliant. VetSnap's compliance position is what this page states; a SAM.gov entry neither adds to it nor takes anything away.

Worth knowing: these are VetSnap's own identifiers and a design-level alignment, not an assessment. No CMMC certification or Supplier Performance Risk System score is published here, and nothing on this page replaces what your agency verifies in SAM.gov. Identifiers are released directly to the contracting officer rather than printed on a public page.

Procurement inquiries

What this statement is not

We would rather say it plainly than have you discover it in a review. VetSnap does not hold FedRAMP, StateRAMP, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 authorisations, has no FIPS 140-3 validated crypto module, and has not passed a third-party penetration test. There is no signed document, no certified e-signature and no redaction that destroys hidden data — cropping hides page margins rather than erasing them, and visual edits are flattened to page images.

If your contract requires any of those, tell us through the form and we will be straight with you about whether VetSnap can serve your use case.

Government, VA or enterprise enquiry

Send your agency or organisation, what you need VetSnap for, and anything your security or accessibility reviewer will want to check. We answer every enquiry personally.
